Who is Molly? .

Molly was our foster puppy from the Missouri puppy mills, she was a Yorkie.
When Pat and I decided to foster her last November we did not plan on falling in love with her, but we did, like all the other fosters we had.
Molly was different she wasn’t like other puppy mill fosters, she was one of the most timid and craziest ones that we had encountered.
She wouldn’t come near anyone, wouldn’t bark, kept to herself most of the time, and if you moved your foot, she would go spastic.
We immediately fell totally in love with Molly, there was just something about her that made us fall for her so hard and than we adopted her.
Molly we feel was sent to us from Heaven from my Dear Dad who was tragically killed in October 2011 by a drunk driver) My Dad had always loved Big Dog, but he also had a soft spot for small dogs and we feel Molly was sent to us..

Within 2 weeks of Molly entering our home and hearts she would be following me all over the place.
I would think she was sound asleep and get up, and there she was right at my heels.
I never had a dog that was so attached to me like glue she was velcro to me and I just loved it.
Molly was a petite girl, she was too small to go up and down a chair, so she would just put her front paws up to the chair and I’d pick her up and she would snuggle as close as she possibly could to me.
I knew she was “my” baby as I gave her loads of hugs and kisses, she would give them right back.
After a while all I needed to say to her is “kiss” and she would give me so many kisses.
She was definitely one of a kind! She loved her brothers Max (Havanese) and Marty (Shih-Tzu) and they accepted her more than they did any dog that came through our doors, whether fostering or pet sitting.
Marty became very attached to her, he was like a daddy to her and he always took care of her..

I truly had the best summer with her and it was more of a blessing since our family suffered a deep loss.
She loved the pool, as I put her on a float and floated her around and gave me kisses as she was floating.
I couldn’t imagine my life without her and than tragedy struck.
One night I was up all night baking, cooking and getting ready for a function, and she was right there in the kitchen with me.
I saw her trying to get up one step from the Florida room to the kitchen and she was having a tough time.
I said to her no more treats for you, you’re putting on weight.
If only my joke was the problem, I wish it was.
That morning she was breathing very heavy, I couldn’t understand why, we took great care of her, been to vets, all was good except that morning.
I called my husband frantic and told him I have to take Molly to the vet she can’t breathe and her stomach is huge.
I brought her to the vets and they took blood work and listened to her lungs which were clear.
The doctor came out after about ½ hr.
and told me she has a problem with her liver.
After x-rays and sonograms, her liver was failing fast.
I couldn’t believe what she was telling me.
There was nothing they could do, because her liver was ready to explode.
Just 5 days later on October 15th, we brought her back to the vet, she was in really bad shape.
We brought in her favorite bed and Pat even was able to pick her up and she kissed him on the face.
With those beautiful eyes I carried her in and they brought us in “that” room.
As we were saying our goodbyes through crying eyes and choking on our words, I promised her that I will get even with these mills somehow.
I was glad that we were chosen to love her the last 11 months of her life.
