While in school at the University of Alabama obtaining business degrees, owners Jordan Winn, Alston Noah and Andrew Clark quickly became friends with many common interests, especially grilling out on the big green egg.
After graduating and weighing career options, they all decided to move to Vail to learn the finer arts of smoking meats, cooking soul food, skiing, and experiencing the outdoor lifestyle.
After a combined six years of experience training under the original founders, they were presented with the opportunity to open their first Moe's in Nashville.
