She accredits 99% of her business to referrals from happy customers by being energetic, spontaneous, fun to work with, professional, and creative.
To date, Misty and her partner and husband, Nelio, have shot over 1,500 weddings..

Although born in a small farm-town right outside of Lincoln, Nebraska, Misty was raised in the Sunshine State and is a true Florida girl at heart! Due to the amount of weddings Misty shoots a year (75-100), she prefers to shoot most of her weddings locally.
However, it is not uncommon for a bride with a unique destination or theme to tempt and lure Misty away from the sand, theme parks and orange groves of Florida to photograph her special day!.

In addition to shooting weddings, Misty is also a strong voice in her community and advocate of children's rights.
She currently runs the Heart Gallery of Central Florida, Help Portrait Orlando WRCC and her own program Butterflies and Bluejays, which works with underprivileged children residing in some type of shelter.
In addition to her numerous community service awards over the past 20 years, Misty was recognized this past year by the Girl Scouts of Citrus at their annual Galla and was nominated as a "Woman of Distinction".

A believer in education, Misty also runs the Central Florida PUG (Pictage user Group).
The CFLPUG is dedicated to facilitating communication and education among professional photographers at a regional level around the nation in order to allow photographers to learn from each other and share experiences.
In addition to the CFLPUG, Misty also launched the first ever Junior PUG (Ages 12-18).
The Junior PUG gives budding photographers a chance to learn not only from their older peers in the community, but also from rockstar photographers from all over the country..
She also works closely with her community to help promote opportunities for children wanting to get more involved in the visual arts..

Last, but certainly not least, Misty's biggest love is her family! She lives in a small town right outside of Orlando with her two daughters (both blossoming photographers), cocker-poo spaniel named Nikki (shh….she thinks she's a human), and her best friend and partner Nelio (who she lets think is the boss from time to time)..

A true historian at heart, Misty always has her camera by her side waiting and willing to capture all of life's fleeting moments, hoping to preserve them forever so as not to get lost in time.
