Detailed description is Dedicated to promoting, preserving, enjoying and sharing the music, dance, arts, crafts, and skills of contemporary and traditional cultures and generally having a pretty good time.
MFS events include contra dances, traditional square dances, old time music, concerts, shape note singing, and music jam sessions.
We welcome singles and couples to our bi-weekly Contra Dances, October through May on the first and third Saturday of the month.
Dances are held upstairs in the Union Hall except when noted.
We also welcome anyone to Old Time Square Dances, held at the Top Hat or Freecycles.
All dances are taught from scratch, no experience (or partner) is necessary, although it's helpful to know your "right" from your "left." But if you don't, come anyway!
