Hi, my name is Ape, I'm the founder/creator of Misfit Eclectic.
I'm a stay at home mom of 4, wife to an amazing man, and run a house full of my own misfits as well as this business.
I'm not perfect, I don't pretend to be.
Misfit exists because I was tired of all the wax tarts I was buying costing so much money and after doing a bit of research and seeing how much cheaper it was to make them myself since I was going through wax tarts daily I decided to give it a try.
And the other problem was; you should never have to say I use 2-3 tarts a day because the smell burns out so quick.
I felt like I was throwing money away.
And I was basically..
Well fast forward a few years and I began learning about the chemicals in food and body products and all that disgusting stuff.
I began reading labels on EVERYTHING and found myself being grossed out whenever I began to use that water Suave lotion...ICK.
So research began again...and when I say research I use that lightly...it's more like mini obsession that can last for days, weeks, months, or years depending on how much there is to absorb.
I get bored easily and I can happily say I have not been bored of making my own bath, body and home products...or what I now like to call Spoiletries :) I make them as natural as possible.
The only exception is the bath/body fragrances, I believe they are natural and synthetic but they are definitely phthalate and nitro-musk free.
I have narrowed the suppliers down to a handful that I trust and don't just buy from anyone.

After the products were figured out, the sharing began and then it became free goodies to anyone who fills out the survey because I want the product out there.
I know it's awesome, everyone who tries it knows it's awesome and I try to keep the goodie costs way lower than most.
I'm not in it for the money anyway, it started off as a hobby and now I charge enough to put back in the business.
It's fun and I want it to stay fun and personal.
