Početak njegove karijere obilježava 1974.
godina, kada izdaje svoje prve singlice "O, gitaro" i "Sanjam li ja to možda ljudi".
Početkom 80-ih počinje veliki uspjeh sa hitovima "Mala iz novog pazara" i "Op, kalo ćuprikalo"..

Južni vetar.

1984.
godine se priključuje legendarnoj grupi "Južni Vetar" u kojoj je bio jedan od udarnih pjevača, i s kojom je obišao čitavu Jugoslaviju.
Njegovi tadašnji hitovi su "Čaša ljubavi", "Ja neću ljepšu", "Kockar", "Mogao sam biti car", "Mi smo bili jedan život".
Izdao je još mnogo hitova u Južnom vetru.
Pjeva ijekavskim dijalektom, no početkom rata u Bosni i Hercegovini se seli u Beograd, te počinje pjevati ekavskim dijalektom..

Vrhunac karijere i današnjica.

1995.
godine napušta Južni Vetar te počinje pjevati moderniziranijim zvukom, drukčijim od onog što je prije radio.
Tada izlazi prvi album iz izdavačke kuće PGP RTS: "Ratnik za ljubav", a kasnije nastaju i mnogi hitovi koji su prepoznati i dan danas "Kraljica trotoara", "Ostaj ovde", "Plava ciganko", "Zlato, srebro, dukati", "Policijo oprosti mi", "Šampanjac", "Zemljotres" te njegov novi duet sa Djogani "4 strane sveta"..

Danas je oženjen sa poznatom pjevačicom Martom Savić s kojom ima kćerku Elenu, dok iz prvog braka ima kćer Sanju.
