During his attendance at the Hallmark Institute of Photography in Turners Falls, MA, McNulty decided to combine the two things that he loved the most: nightlife and photography. After graduating Hallmark in 2005, McNulty started approaching local djs and artists about nightlife photos and portraiture photos for their websites and flyers. Randy Boyer of Enmass was the first dj that McNulty photographed with DvDj Unique and the All Access Nightlife crew shortly following. Since then, McNulty has personally worked with over 25 djs and covered over 150 events in 14 states along with his nightlife photography being publish nationally and internationally monthly in web based and print based formats.
