17 de noviembre de 2011, es aprobada la Ley General de Juventud por la Asamblea Legislativa, la que lleva inmersa la creación del Instituto Nacional de la Juventud y que entro en vigencia el 14 de febrero del presente año y por mandato de esta, se inicia la construcción del Instituto Nacional de la Juventud.
