Michelle Bertha (Penney) Rowe (born December 5th, 1975) is an artist from Carbonear, Newfoundland.
She has been painting for over 20 years.
Painting in the mediums of Acrylic, Watercolour & Oil.
Newfoundland realism is her genre but has been kept busy over the years painting a variety styles for private collectors & consigned pieces.
By working with her clients she reconstructs and creates paintings from old photos of family homesteads, memories and more… As an active member of the Newfoundland Art Asst.
she participates in art shows and sales.
Also, an active member of RANAL (Realist Artist of NL) and participates in outings, photo taking adventures & shows..

Currently, Michelle teaches art classes to students aged preschool to adult in her studio located in Carbonear & also in Bay Roberts.
In 2013 Michelle secured grants from both Arts Council and Parks & Recreation facilitating to school aged children and seniors.
In 2011 she secured 2 grants and facilitated art classes to local school children.
In 2012 had the honour of having her artwork hung on display at The Rooms as an honourable mention in the Art & Letters competition.
She has had a number of articles in local newspapers papers covering her various arts related activities and a feature article showcasing her story as an artist.

Her artwork, both original paintings and prints, sell in local gift shops, restaurants and B&B`s.
Michelle has been very active locally organizing Art Shows & sales and participating in various auctions and fundraising events.
Donating regularly to the TC Health Art auction and various local charities.
Although mostly self taught she had studied under some of Newfoundland’s respected artists, Sid Butt & Ed Roche.
