A fine giugno Michela ha ottenuto una straordinaria vittoria nel campionato Auto GP, uno dei campionati più importanti con monoposto di grossa cilindrata (550cv), considerato uno degli step più vicini e propedeutici alla Formula 1 (per la vicinanza della potenza delle monoposto che vengono utilizzate).
E’ una vittoria storica tanto da aver fatto scrivere alla stampa che Michela ha segnato un altro traguardo nella storia mondiale del Motorsport (è la prima volta nella storia che una donna raggiunge un tale traguardo in AutoGp). .
