HISTORIA.
.
Fraternidad Folclórica y Cultural Caporales Universitarios de San Simón es el nombre con el que inicia este fenómeno de la danza del caporal en Bolivia que con el transcurso de los años por lógica consecuencia de la dinámica propia de nuestro folclore, los componentes de la institución entienden de diferentes maneras el rumbo que debería tener la fraternidad y es así que un grupo de fraternos antiguos entre los que se encuentran la mayoría de los ex presidentes de la historia de la institución hasta ese momento, decide crear el Bloque MI VIEJO SAN SIMON con el afán de mantener con el mayor esfuerzo posible la idea inicial de FRATERNIDAD con que nació San Simón .
La idea se convierte en realidad y el 22 de noviembre del año 2005 arranca el recorrido de Mi Viejo San Simón con la participación de 78 fraternos antiguos cuya trayectoria no es menor a 18 años y con la participación de 120 jóvenes de 13 a 16 años entre los cuales se encuentran los hijos de los fraternos que iniciaban este proyecto con la esperanza de que sus herederos se formen en lo que consideramos la verdadera esencia de la fraternidad.
El inculcar la devoción a la Virgen del Socavón mantener el estilo de baile, las consideraciones tradicionales para el diseño de los trajes, la organización interna de las tropas y figuras tener un presupuesto consensuado y el saber cultivar la amistad entre los fraternos es el afán principal del bloque que ha sido logrado con éxito en el transcurso de 10 años razón por la cual consideramos que el bloque se convierte en una reserva viva de los ideales iniciales de la fraternidad.
