Detailed description is Oct 6-8, 2017: If you can't find it at Metamora's Canal Days, you don't need it.
Three day flea market/ festival beginning the first Friday in October.
Spaces handled by Historic Metamora along the canal and in the park are restricted to antiques and artisan's with their crafts.

All other property in town is rented at the whim of the landowner and may have any type of flea market merchandise that they chose to allow..

Canal Days is sponsored by Historic Metamora Inc.
HMI leases the State Historic Site property along the canal, across from the mill and in the park around the Gazebo.
Those areas are ,in turn, rented to vendors who sell art, antiques and handcrafts only.
Any vendor who contacts HMI and does not qualify for a vendor space from HMI is referred to a town resident in need of a vendor.

HMI rents vendor space for $200 for 10x10 space for three days.
If that vendor wishes to return the following year and pays ahead for that privilege, the fee is reduced to $150.
Vendors who rent from individual residents must deal directly with that individual.
HMI has no control over private property.
Property owners can rent to whoever they wish and charge whatever they wish.
Vendor fees from private property owners vary greatly..

As much as Historic Metamora would like to see our town fill with vendors selling art, antiques and handcrafts, the fact remains that there is a market for the other items available or they wouldn't be present year after year.
