Upon the organization’s conception as a 501(c) 3 non- profit in March of 2006, MWUYF has been serving Tier 1 communities with limited or no resources to improve the quality of living through economic development and supportive programs.
Economic Development is one of the 5 major components of the organization’s overarching strategic plan with a mission to support local economic development by building relationships with the business community.
Our mission is to provide support services for youth and families in rural southeastern North Carolina and to connect them to resources in which they would otherwise not receive due to barriers such as transportation.
