Megan's Paws & Claws is the local dog pound for the City of Smithville.
We are are No-Kill facility and we strive to keep the dogs in our pound as comfortable and healthy as possible while in our care before being reunited or adopted with their owners.

We do not have cats at our pound..

If you find a stray dog please call the dispatch line at 816-858-3521 and the Smithville Police will attempt to find it and bring it to the pound.

The owner will have 10 days to claim the dog before it will be vetted and placed up for adoption.

Adoption fee is $150.00 which includes spay/neuter, heartworm test, and vaccinations on all dogs up for adoption.
