medusa adalah sebuah band yang memiliki visi dan keinginan yang sama dalam bermusik.
Kami menyebut aliran musik yang kami mainkan sebagai : Metal Death Core.
Yaitu campuran antara musik Death Metal dan Metal Core yang dikemas secara mudah untuk didengar oleh kaum pencinta musik Underground.
Formasi kami terdiri dari Joe(Vocal), Bay (Guitar), Key (Guitar), Ment (Bass), Bauz (Drums).
Yang bersama-sama ingin membuka pikiran didalam scene musik Metal yang menjadi background dalam kehidupan kami masing-masing..

Awalnya Medusa terdiri dari Joe, Bay, Eqiw, Ment, dan Daud.
Namun, setelah berjalan dan mengawali ketahap untuk rekaman ternyata tidak adanya keseimbangan musik dengan beat yang saat itu kita mainkan.
Akhirnya kita memutuskan untuk menunda pembuatan album, saat itulah kita mencari sesosok drummer yang diharapkan dapat menciptakan chemistry dengan semua musik yang telah kita ciptakan, dan saat itu pulalah Bauz bergabung bersama Medusa.
Namun setelah berjalan cukup lama dan membuat album, tiba-tiba Eqiw(guitar) mundur dari Medusa, lama juga mencari gitaris untuk menggantikannya, kami coba rubah formasi dengan Ment menjadi guitaris dan menambahkan additional Bass yaitu Ijal.
Namun, karna jarak yang terlalu jauh dengan basecamp Medusa Ijal pun sering tidak ikut bersama berlatih.
Saat itu lah kami berpikir untuk mencari additional kembali.
Dan akhirnya Key pun bergabung dari awal sebagai additional dan sampai sekarang menjadi personil tetap di band kami..

Dalam penciptaan lagu Medusa belum ada yang berbahasa inggis, dikarenakan kita ingin mencakup seluruh wilayah nasional terlebih dahulu, dan apabila kami bisa diterima di dunia internasional kami pun tidak malu dengan membawa bahasa Indonesia ke seluruh dunia..

Hal penting yang membuat kami dapat menyatukan visi dalam menciptakan sebuah lagu adalah persamaan pendapat dalam penuangan pengalaman hidup pribadi pada lyrics yang kami ciptakan, yang mewarnai sebagian lagu Medusa adalah tentang kehidupan, cinta, kegalauan, konflik sosial, penghianatan, ilusi, dll.
hal itu yang justru memperkuat kami untuk tetap berkarya di dalam band ini.
