MAGNET (Media and Games Network) is a new shared space for faculty and students from across NYU and NYU-Poly who share an interest in the intersection of culture and technology.
MAGNET offers students the chance to pursue degrees and research in game design, social science, digital media design, and computer science and game engineering, and includes undergraduate, graduate, and post-graduate students from NYU and NYU-Poly.
The space was co-designed by the participating schools--NYU Tisch School of the Arts; the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development; the Polytechnic Institute of NYU; and the Computer Science Department of the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences..
