National level technical fest conducted by Department of Mechanical Engineering,OSMANIA UNIVERSITY Department of Mechanical Engineering was established in 1939 at Osmania University.
It has since then grown significantly by spreading its academic activities in offering courses at Undergraduate, Post graduate as well as Doctoral degree.
it has completed it's Platinum jubilee celebrations in the year 2014.
The Department receives research and modernization grants from UGC, MHRD, AICTE and TEQIP..
Department has started conducting National level technical fest in late 1990's by the name "NAIPUNYA".
Later it has changed to "MECHARENA" in early 2000's and successfully conducted fest every academic year with exciting events and workshops and attracted many people from all over the country.
Now we are going to conduct fest "MECHARENA 2K15" on March 6th and 7th with even more exciting events and workshops.
In this year workshop we are going to show machines from classical(Babcock and Wilcox boiler, Lathe machine) to Ultra modern ( raid prototyping and EDM).
