Detailed description is First Lego League Robotics Program.
At McCracken Middle School, we offer both classes and extracurricular competition teams, the McCracken Blazing Eagles.
Our team is sponsored by the Spartanburg Science Center and Spartanburg School District Seven.
We currently offer three elective classes which provide each student with the basic elements of robotics, NXT computational programming, Lego based design/engineering, and several technical strategies which are modeled to accomodate the 21st century learner..

The Blazing Eagles FLL Teams (815 & 817) design specialized Lego robots that compete by accomplishing various tasks.
The team also completes a research project which enables them to become involved in their community.
This allows them to demonstrate and develop the life skills needed to communicate amongst the public as to what they are doing.
Thus, they gather data that aids in the research component of the competition.
We currently have 16 members on two teams.
The Blazing Eagles are looking forward to the January 11, 2014 regional qualifier.

FIRST Lego League is one of our outstanding programs which students at McCracken are continuously engaged in.
We are very proud of our students and will strive to continually equip them with the skills needed to become a contributing member of an ever evolving technologically driven society.
