Detailed description is Our strawberries are coming on early and we'd love to share them with you! Come on out to purchase in our store or pick your own!! Welcome to McConauchie Manor Farm! Most people struggle with pronouncing our name so let us help - "mc-con-ah-key".
Not too bad once you get it under your tongue!! Or, as many people refer to us, one can just shorten it to McManor… that is so much easier!!!.

A bit about us: .

We are a family owned farm located 5 miles south of Carlyle, IL on a 120 acres.
We are quite diversified in what we offer - livestock, berries, and honey.
While we strive to follow organic practices and raise our produce and livestock free of harmful chemicals and antibiotics, we are NOT officially an organic farm.

When it comes to strawberries, we do not lie when we say they are the best in the area! We have big, juicy California variety berries that are picked at the peak of freshness and delivered daily to local business and markets.
Or, better yet, come pick them for yourself in our U-Pick berry patch! Our berries are grown in our fields on raised beds each fall and are protected through the winter with special blankets which allow us to sell early.
Among the varieties of strawberries that we offer are Albion, CamaRosa, San Andreas and Chandler.

We are also a livestock farm.
Our meat is all processed at USDA inspected facilities in Central and Southern Illinois.
We raise mainly hardy livestock breeds originating from the highlands of Scotland and the English Isles.
McConauchie livestock includes Highland beef cattle, Chevoit sheep, Berkshire hogs and Clydesdales (which we don’t process!).
We don’t stop there, though, and also raise South African Boer goats, rabbits, laying hens, pastured chickens (which produce pastured eggs that we also sell), turkeys, ducks and geese.
Our livestock are all raised on pasture and woodlands with minimal grain feeds, using pens and barns for birthing and necessary handling as the needs arise.
Our beef, pork, lamb, goat, rabbit and poultry items are all raised here and processed by well established, USDA facilities nearby.

Our close proximity to the St Louis area allows for us to provide fresh items daily and stay better in touch with what our customer’s changing needs will be..

Each fall we have a Fall Festival and Corn Maze where we invite you to come onto the farm and enjoy everything we have to offer! We have hay rides, a petting zoo, pony rides, a barrel train, a huge playground with a giant tire mountain, and so much more! Our Fall Festival and Corn Maze runs on Fridays and Saturdays from Sept 23 - Oct 29 during the 2016 season.
We will also open other days and hours for special appointments.
