Effectivement suite à une participation ponctuelle à une course dans un championnat Mini Cooper challenge, Maxime découvrit les plaisirs d’un premier sprint sur Spa-Francorchamps.
Malheureusement, il découvrit par la même occasion à affronter un premier fait de course.

Première mésaventure qui ne l’a pas empêché de remporter le titre suprême de Champion du monde de cette discipline l’année suivante à Misano en Italie..

Ce jeune Bruxellois est passionné par la course automobile depuis sa plus tendre enfance.
Ayant toujours suivi son père, Jean-Michel Martin, sur les circuits, Maxime a toujours eu l’envie de courir lui aussi..

Après avoir pris goût à l’une ou l’autre course Fun Cup et Mini, Maxime était définitivement décidé à se lancer dans un championnat complet.
C’est grâce à quelques partenaires et le René Verbist Racing qu’il a pu commencer à courir dans le Mini Cooper Challenge.
Sa deuxième place au championnat de Belgique et son titre de champion du monde l’ont motivé à s’orienter vers le tourisme.
Après une année passée en Formule Renault 1.6 avec quelques victoires à la clé, Maxime a voulu aller vers un championnat Européen.
Il a dés lors enchainé deux saisons dans le très disputé Eurocup Mégane Trophy.
Il termine avec un titre de vice-champion dés la deuxième saison durant laquelle il gagne aussi le championnat de France Clio Cup..

Suite à ces beaux résultats, Jean-Pierre Jabouille propose à Maxime de participer au Championnat Européen FIA GT3 à bord d’une Morgan Areo 8.
Année difficile avec beaucoup de problèmes mécaniques mais avec une victoire et deux pôles positions.
Cette année fut aussi pour Maxime celle de sa première victoire aux 24H de Spa-Francorchamps sur la Ford GT3 du team Matech..

L’année passé, grâce au Marc VDS Racing Team, Maxime a fait ses débuts dans une compétition à l’échelle mondiale.
Il a disputé une toute nouvelle discipline, le «FIA GT1 World Championship» à bord d’une Ford GT engagée par le Marc VDS Racing Team.
De plus, Maxime a disputé le très disputé championnat de France FFSA GT3 au volant, une fois de plus, de la Morgan Aero 8 au sein du Jab Racing..

La saison 2011 de Maxime s’annoncé déjà bien chargé.
Effectivement Maxime participe a nouveau au championnat mondial, FIA GT1 World Championship, toujours au volant d’une Ford GT engagé par MarcVDS Racing Team.
Lors de ce championnat, son coéquipier sera Frédéric Makowiecki.
