Après des études en Arts Appliqués et en Design (Olivier de Serres, Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d’Art puis Strate Collège Designers), il exerce pendant quelques années en tant que designer freelance (Swarovski, Kenzo, FNAC, Peugeot, PPR, Eurocopter, etc.).

En 2004, il fonde Dirtyphonics.
Pendant 10 ans, le groupe tourne autour du monde, jouant pour des foules atteignant 50000 personnes.
Un cinquantaine de pays est ainsi visitée (en Amérique du Nord, Australie, Europe et Asie essentiellement).
L’album « IRREVERENCE » est sélectionné aux Grammy awards 2014..

Depuis l’enfance et pendant ces périodes où il pratique assidûment design et musique, Matheo a toujours peint en dilettante (Expositions (dont résidences et solo shows) à Paris, Amiens et Lyon essentiellement) mais fin 2013, il quitte Dirtyphonics pour se consacrer pleinement à la peinture..

Sa création est riche et hétéroclite.
On trouve dans sa peinture des influences très diverses : de Jean-Michel Basquiat à Zao Wooki, de Jim Delarge à Francis Bacon… Il s’intéresse à l’opposition cosmos vs chaos, à peindre l’invisible, à l’abstraction photographique… Autant de sujets traités de manières différentes..

Puis en 2015 la série qu’il baptise EMERGENCES s’impose à lui : des formes brutes et puissantes jaillissent des profondeurs, la lumière dévore l’obscurité, la couleur s’empare du chaos.
