You are asked to create a poem about or photograph of a football match; events on the oval and its immediate surrounds from when the umpires walk onto the field to when the last umpire or player walks off at the end of the match..

• Maybe a poem written about a team’s quarter time huddle at a match played at Bothwell with players surrounded by their supporters better describes the essence of the game than a player’s kick for goal..

• Maybe a photograph taken on a cold winter’s day at Winnaleah showing a young boundary umpire throwing in the ball captures the essence of the game much better than a high mark taken by a player.
