Detailed description is The Master of Health Administration(MHA-HE) is a two year full time programme at Tata Institute of Social Sciences , Mumbai.

Master of Health Administration(MHA-HE) is a two year residential programme organised in four semesters.
Each semester is about 16 weeks.
Between semesters there are project works and fieldworks which are compulsory components of the course.
Total credits to be gained through two years is 80..
There are three types of academic works that students are required to complete:.
a) Course work: There are 28 core courses , which are assessed through assignments and examination primarily.

b) Field components: There are three compulsory field components included in 2nd, 3rd and 4th semesters.
Students are posted to various renowned organizations like ALERT India, SATHI, SEARCH, SNEHA, IHMP, Aga Khan Health Services, RUHSA, Arohi etc.
It provides hands on experience and knowledge about the health sector wherein students see the theories they learn in classrooms being applied in the real world.It helps build capacities in planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating those programs, and orients students to macro issues relevant to health policy and programming in the country..
c) Research work: The programme includes a written dissertation which can either be quantitative or qualitative research or operations research or any other study with almost the entire 4th semester in the programme dedicated for it.
Required training for this begins in first semester itself, and all students would have chosen their research topics and guides assigned by the beginning of second semester.
