A Sealed Bid Sale is similar in a way to a silent auction, and is the most popular way that the Academy sells boats to the public.
The YBDP will advertise these sales in advance, advertising in any or all of the following:.
• Newspapers or magazines .
• Direct mailings .
• Web postings .
• Television and/or radio ads .
• Via email .
The YBDP can also reduce the price by 50% to accept a bid if it is seen as the best course of action for the program.
Bidding begins at 1:00pm on the advertised date.
