Detailed description is Study theatre through hands-on learning in a state-of-the-art facility! The Theatre Department at Maryville College offers a major in Theatre, a major in Theatre for Teacher Licensure, and a minor in Theatre.
Students can partcipate in up to four productions each academic year, including both faculty-directed and student-directed projects ranging from Shakespeare to world premiere productions of new plays.
Students get a firm foundation in all areas of theatre before choosing an area of concentration in one of the following areas: Acting/ Directing, Technical Theatre; Theatre History, Literature and Dramatic Criticism; and Theatre Pedagogy.
