Ans: 1960 geboren und in Stuttgart aufgewachsen, behaupte ich selbst von mir, eine „Tüftlerin“ zu sein. Die Leidenschaft, immer etwas Neues auszuprobieren, prägt mein Handeln. Viele Jahre malte ich meine Bilder nur auf Leinwand. Meine gemalten Porträts in eine Collage einzuarbeiten war ein „Mal(un)glücksfall“. Der Hintergrund eines Bildes war mir nicht gelungen und da fing ich an, mit Schere, Klebstoff und bunten Papieren alles auf eine Holzplatte aufzuziehen. Durch das Kombinieren meiner Malerei mit Acryl- und Ölfarbe, mit den unterschiedlichsten Collagen-Techniken und Untergründen, habe ich mit meinen Frauenmotiven eine ganz eigene Art der Collage geschaffen, die Art-Collage. Durch meine Liebe zu Worten werden sehr oft noch Zitate und Sprüche eingearbeitet, die Spaß machen und den Tag versüßen, aber auch Anregung zum Nachdenken geben. WARUM ICH NUR FRAUEN MALE ...ist kein Geheimnis. „Ich male Frauen aus Leidenschaft. Nur Frauen. Wahrscheinlich, weil ich mit Leidenschaft selbst eine bin. Meinen künstlerischen Schwerpunkt finde ich im Porträtieren von Frauen – Weibern, die ich im Lauf der Jahre immer weiter entwickelte. Das Wort ‚Weib‘ ist für mich positiv belegt: Das Prachtweib, Superweib, Mordsweib und Rasseweib. Ich male, schnipple und klebe mit viel Liebe zum Detail, um der Welt draußen ein bisschen Freude zu bereiten“.
