Detailed description is Club de Canoë Kayak de Marmande basé sur le canal à Pont des Sables.
Pratique du slalom, de la descente, du freestyle en compétition mais aussi en loisir.
Le club a été créé en 1985, il est alors une section de l’Amicale Laïque Marmandaise.
Après seize années passées dans cette structure, c’est en 2001 que les dirigeants décident de quitter l’Amicale Laïque pour devenir complètement indépendants.
Le club change de nom et Marmande Kayak Nature voit alors le jour, avec de nouveaux statuts, et s’implante sur la base nautique de Pont Des Sables, aux côtés de l’Aviron Marmandais.
L’association a pour but de former, d’organiser et de gérer la pratique du Canoë Kayak et disciplines associées sur le territoire local.
Le club est affilié à la Fédération Française de Canoë Kayak depuis sa création, ce qui l’engage à respecter et à partager les valeurs de celle-ci : le dépassement de soi, la protection et la connaissance de l’environnement, le plaisir de naviguer, s’associer pour mieux partager et le respect des différences.
Le club propose à ses adhérents la pratique de différentes disciplines : le slalom, la descente, le freestyle, le kayak polo, la randonnée, la haute rivière..
