Detailed description is Marilyn's Munchkins Child Care We are a licensed family child care facility through Beltrami County and we have a Four-Star rating through Parent Aware.
We offer a preschool curriculum that we adapt to include our toddlers as well and we have a structured daily routine.
Our philosophy is that children learn through play.
While we do have guided learning with the basics (letters, shapes, colors, and numbers), we believe that children’s imaginations grow through creative play.
They learn to socialize, have respect for others and their surroundings, how to resolve conflict, and how to problem solve.
When a child creates something to take home, we ask that a parent doesn’t see it as something to be looked at and praised, then set aside or tossed, but to see what it took for their child to make it.
It took small motor muscles, hand-eye coordination, imagination, fine-motor skills (cutting, gluing, coloring, ripping, gripping, etc.), and there is a story behind the creation.
