Having moved with his mother and sister from New York as a child, Marc has called Norwalk home for more than 40 years.
Developing a strong work ethic while growing up would prove invaluable, and after graduating in 1986 from Norwalk High School, Marc supported himself and financed his way through Norwalk Community College for two years and going on to graduate from the University of Connecticut at Storrs in 1991 with a BA in Political Science.
It was while working in New York City that he met his wife Heidi, a Louisiana native.
They are the parents of two school-age daughters, Dixie and Charli, both of whom excel in academics and athletics.
Combining his keen interest in education with his tech-savvy knowledge and entrepreneurial skill, Marc initially volunteered to oversee the social media initiatives of the NHS Parents Club and the PTO.
He would go on to serve as president of both organizations for the 2016-2017 school year in addition to being elected to the Norwalk High School Governance Council, and its budget committee.
Working in these capacities fueled the fire of Marc’s passion for quality education for all students, reaffirmed his belief in the untapped potential of Norwalk’s public school system, and brought to light the love and commitment he has for this City..
