I work with many teens who need help with overcoming self-doubt and adults who are stuck in unproductive routines ready to break out.
I started this journey working for a Mental Health and Licenses Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and later I became the Executive Director for that office..

Actually, the journey begins much sooner, .
but we’ll start the story here..

As clients came in for their sessions, they’d spend time before and after their appointments speaking with me.
Before long, clients came in or called when they didn’t even have a session, so they could visit with me..

Why did they want to speak with me? Regardless, I found great satisfaction making their day just a little bit better, or helping them work through their life situations.
Eventually, I was asked to co-facilitate a women’s group that meets once a week, and I provide a point of view many related to.
Demand for the successful women’s group has grown, and I still co-facilitate.

the story begins much sooner..

I lived once on the other side of the conversation and graciously was lifted from that dark place.
I was in a physically and emotionally abusive relationship; my bones broken.
My spirit broken.
I built defensive walls..
.
The emotional walls protected myself from pain, but unknowingly prevented me from from happiness and from living.
Years after the abuse, relationships suffered.
I thought the walls were the only way to survive.
But then I was graciously lifted from the darkness..

My journey led me to where I am today..
I learned to accept what was.
To live in the moment.
The art of letting go.
To enjoy life the way life can be.
I have learned from good teachers who have taught me to be the peaceful, calm person I was supposed to be.
They taught me to be my authentic self.

In the same way others have helped me, my passion is to guide others who are experiencing difficult situations in their life..

I relate to many of the same feelings people experience because I have been there too.
I was able to experience a trip to Blue Cliff Monastery where I learned self-acceptance, meditation, and a different way to view the world.
