Detailed description is n order to sponsor education to girls, Mahila Vidyalay was founded on 13th September, Vijayadashmi day in the year 1933.
The founders formed an organization named Samaj Seva Sangh and under this banner they all worked together for the establishment of thi Samaj Seva Sangh’s Mahila Vidyalay which was founded in 1933 was a girl’s high school but as a social need this institution was converted into a co-educational school and named as Mahila and Nutan Marathi Vidyalay High School.
The school was before affiliated to the Pune board and upto 1972 the medium of instruction was Marathi but due to persistent demand from parents, the school was switched over to English medium and was renamed as Mahila & Nutan English High School since June 1972.
Now, the school is affiliated to the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education..
