Home Rescue Corp., a non-profit organization that helps out distressed family members keep and stay in their home.
In 2010, Mr.
Chavez and a team of the other non-profit organization such as NAHREP held an event to families giving them the opportunity to get the assistance they need for home lost prevention.
The event gathered 137 families and provided free loan modification help, financial literacy, or counseling from the HUD approved community housing council of Fresno.

Chavez also, in 2010 provided a toy drive to giving back to families at the Marjorie Mason center for the holidays.
