Our Founder, Lynn Young witnessed foster children being removed from their families often taken in the middle of the night or while at school and most were unable to get their belongings to bring with them.
The court system can take up to two weeks to process these children; and during that time, the children have to make do with whatever clothing and personal items they had when they left their homes.
In many cases, Lynn saw children staying in the same clothing often up to one week..

Lowcountry Orphan Relief serves more than 100 organizations in Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester counties, including the Department of Social Services, all local group foster homes, foster parents, local schools, and more.
For each child, we are able to provide 2 weeks of new to gently used clothing, pajamas, shoes, toiletries, school supplies and uniforms, as well as coats, books, stuffed animals, and new socks and underwear..
