In February of 2009 Larry Komisar, Owner and Don Hodkoski, Senior Designer, teamed up to bring you over 50 years of experience in the design/build and project management business, including kitchens, baths and other interior and exterior remodeling projects.
In November of 2012, Peter Roth, CKD joined the team bringing an additional 30 years of design experience.
Their beautiful showroom, located on the banks of the East Aspetuck River in the Marble Dale section of New Preston on Route 202, is a completely renovated 19th century building of chestnut post and beam construction that once was home to a furniture maker.
The attention to detail in this warm and inviting space is carried throughout the showroom.

Larry Komisar grew up in a family owned Architectural Woodwork manufacturing business that was started by his father and uncle in New Haven, CT in 1946.
Larry joined the firm in 1972,then left the business to follow an urge to own a Bar/Restaurant, and in 1983 opened NEIGHBORS CAFE in New Haven.
After a successful run with that venture, he was lured back to the world of custom cabinetry and millwork, only this time in the residential remodeling of KITCHENS & BATHS in 1989..

For the past 25 years Larry has helped build Project Management Systems for some of Connecticut's largest KITCHEN & BATH specialists.
"The biggest joy in my work is coordinating the talents, skills and efforts of designer, subcontractors and suppliers to make each project as comfortable and seamless an experience as possible.

Don Hodkoski's experience spans 33 years of working in all aspects of the design/build industry.
After attending The Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and graduating from the University of Connecticut, Don put his talents to the test.
"I've worked with condominium developers, custom post & beam construction, and residential home construction and remodeling." As a result of his experience, it became apparent his strength is KITCHEN & BATH design.
His knowledge and ability to create an environment of trust and respect, builds solid relationships and customer loyalty.
Don models his style after his Dad, who operated a successful business in Litchfield for 43 years.

As a designer, Don is mindful that the project at hand, whether large or small, is a most important priority to his client.
Don is known for his attention to detail and willingness to spend indispensable time with his customers.

We are also skilled and experienced in Whole House remodels, as well as Decks and Additions.
All of our Design and Project Management services are in house.
