Detailed description is LiPaHak(里拔哈)在阿美族語是開心、快樂的意思。 [LiPaHak(里拔哈)]在阿美族語是開心、快樂的意思。原先農場名稱只是[富興生態農場]，不知道是由哪位農戶先開始這樣稱呼，漸漸地，大家都這麼叫了，[LiPaHak]也蠻符合農場所希望的，因此農場名稱正式稱為【富興LiPaHak生態農場】。.
【富興LiPaHak生態農場】和一般的有機農場或生態農場有什麼不一樣呢？首先，先來說說農場成立的原委。眾所皆知，一般農民對於農作物的蟲害、病害，已經很習慣的使用農藥來防治，對於田間雜草也一律用殺草劑噴除，除了對人體健康不利，對土地造成傷害之外，也直接衝擊原本生存在田間不是所謂[害蟲]的昆蟲，例如蜜蜂，以及野生動物，例如鳥類、兔子等，甚至河裏的魚蝦；對於會吃農作物的鳥類，例如環頸雉、花嘴鴨、麻雀等，也使用捕或毒的方式來防治。回想早期沒有農藥的年代，田野、河流，除了是孩童的遊樂場，也是大人們的[糧倉]，在那個年代，人與自然是處於一種共存互生的狀 態，而不是像現在只重生產，枉顧自然的極端現象。那麼有沒有辦法把早期那種人與自然合諧共存、生產與生態永續利用的農業環境找回來呢？.
於是我們向台糖租了六公頃的地，在這六公頃中畫分了三個區 塊：一區是私、一區是[公田]、一區則是[棲地]。[私田[的部份請社區與部落的居民無償認作，目前有19位農戶加入，每人認作一分地，所以我們不是私人農場，應該可以說是[合作農場]；農戶的生產所得全數歸農戶所有，農戶也有絕對的自主權決定要種植的作物，也有別於一般的契作農場。不能使用農藥、化肥，這當然是最基本的要求，另外也不得[捕]、[毒]野生動物；[公田]則是[實驗田]，雖然農場禁止農戶捕]、[毒]野生動 物，但是農民因為蟲害、鳥害的損失，也不應該完全由農民承受。於是我們和東華大學、花蓮農業改良場、林務局合作，以公田作為實驗田區，運用天敵、圍網等較溫和的方式解決生產與生態間的衝突，並且協助農戶銷售受害的農產品；[棲地]，名符其實就是給動物住的，目前營造了一塊溼地，未來我們也 希望溼地能帶來［生態系服務］的功能，讓農民的所得不僅僅只能來自農產品的銷售，也希望溼地能與文化連結，而具有文化意涵。
