On 5th January 2012, Lorenzo Standen, president and founder of L.I.F.E, rescued a few animals and set them up at Mapoli, which then became the inception of L.I.F.E.
Farm Animal Sanctuary Trust.
Starting with three horses, four buffaloes, one cow, five goats, one ram, 20 dogs and 15 cats, the number of animals at the farm has gradually increased with an active involvement of the locals at Mapoli and neighbouring areas.
The overwhelming response from the locals led to L.I.F.E.
being registered as a Trust and a Society in 2015..
