I graduated 18+ years ago from an accredited college for a Diploma in Dental Hygiene from Niagara College, Ontario Canada.
I was the recipient of the Hu Friedy Golden Scaler Award (1998) for the highest clinical marks.
I have been working in a general dentist practice in Auckland New Zealand for the past 14 years, treating dental clients of all ages from 3 to 90+.
The first four years of my profession I worked full-time with a general dentist working with two other dental hygienists in the practice and I also worked part-time at a Periodontal Practice in St.
Catharines, Ontario alongside five other dental hygienists and two Periodontists.
It is at the Perio office where I honed my clinical skills and scaling and root planing expertise.
This set me up nicely for moving overseas to Auckland New Zealand where I have worked the entire 14 years that I have been in NZ at a downtown in Auckland CBD.
I work full-time five days a week at Queen Street Dental working alongside with two fantastic dental hygienists and two incredible dentists who share the same philosophy of care and are prevention focused as myself.
We all share the same ethical approach to patient-care and practice state-of the art dentistry and prevention.
I received my training and certificate to administer Local Anaesthetic at AUT (Auckland) in 2008.

I have also enjoyed cycle-touring all over the South Island of New Zealand several times.
I am also a competitive marathon runner (having competed in 41 marathons and winning four of them and often placing in the top 3).
I enjoy ultra marathon running and have competed in 8 Ironman distance triathlons.
I am also passionate about boxing fitness and Iyengar yoga.
Living a healthy life-style, eating primarily a vegetarian-based diet and caring for my own teeth and overall health has helped me inspire and motivate many of my dental clients to make healthy choices for themselves.
