Detailed description is The Legacy Barn is a rustic indoor and outdoor event facility.
Say your vows in front of the "Old Sycamore" and then celebrate in the historic 1884 barn.
The Legacy Barn was built in 1884 by William Wesley Smith.
Purchased by Dr.
R.A.
Craig in 1949 and converted the Leafy Lane dairy farm with registered Guernsey milking herd throughout the 1960's.
In 1976, Colin moved into the farmhouse and operated the farm as a cash grain enterprise.
The barn was retired from hay storage and has stood idle since 1977.
In 2014 Colin decided to preserve the historic barn and began plans for the renovation.
With the skills from an Amish construction crew, the barn was saved and transformed into the Legacy Barn at Leafy Lane Farm in March of 2015..

This is what you receive with the barn rental for a wedding:.
•The Legacy Barn is considered one of the top barn event sites in the state of Indiana.
The address is 951 North 600 West; Kokomo, IN 46901.
The corner of Sycamore (SR 22) and 600 West..
•The Barn fits 120 people and is not temperature controlled, however, there are several fans for the summer & you can rent heaters for cool weather.
•The entire day of the event for set up and tear down..
•Loud music must end at 10:00 pm and out at 11:00pm (which is pretty standard).
•You can have alcohol, but you must have a licensed company provide as well as have a licensed bartender.
•You must provide the Barn with a certificate of liability insurance (your insurance agent will provide you with).
•If having the ceremony at the Barn, 1 hour the day before for a rehearsal (if not booked for an event.
If it is booked the day before, you can choose another day that week for your rehearsal).
•You can use your own caterer or bring your own food if you would like.
•Plenty of parking with parking attendants.
•Tables & chairs.
•Barn staff will set up & tear down tables and chairs according to your layout.
•Barn staff will also move chairs from the ceremony to the reception area.
•Built in bar area.
•Loft that seats 40.
•Restroom trailer.
•Fire Pit.
•Full use of the gorgeous 8 acre property for pictures.
•You can use the front of the historic house for pictures (but no access to the inside).
•Brides trailer to get ready in (air conditioned with a restroom).
•White lights in the barn (Christmas lights).
•Old fashion wagon for pictures.
•A dedicated Event Manager from the Barn to be on Premises all night.
•Use of the Historic Parlor (Downstairs) for storage, kids reception, caterers, etc....
•A staging area for caterers with a sink and water access.
•Access to special Wedding planning packages if interested (Day of Directing or Full-Service Packages).

For all the above (May-October) your rental price would be: $4,000 for both ceremony & reception; & $3,500 for reception only.

For all of the above (November-April) your rental price would be $3,000 for both ceremony & reception; & $2,500 for reception only.
