After college Dean pursued a career as an Engineering Geologist.
As a hobbyist, Dean continued working in film and operated with small home darkroom till around 2008.

As technology had advanced, Dean found the same processes he enjoyed in the darkroom translated to digital medium using modern photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop.
