Detailed description is Le Lardin-Saint-Lazare est une commune française située dans le département de la Dordogne, en région Nouvelle-Aquitaine.ToponymieEn occitan, la commune porte le nom de Lo Lardin e Sent Lazar.HistoireLe 24 avril 1906, le président de la République Armand Fallières signe, sur proposition de Georges Clemenceau, ministre de l'Intérieur, le décret divisant la commune de Beauregard-de-Terrasson en deux municipalités distinctes.L'ancienne commune de Bersac est alors rétablie.
En 1922, elle prend l'appellation de Le Lardin, Bersac n'étant qu'un hameau excentré (mais comportant l'église) par rapport au centre où sont implantés le bureau de poste, la gare, l'école et la mairie.
La commune fusionne ensuite avec celle de Saint-Lazare en 1967 pour prendre le nom officiel de Le Lardin-Saint-Lazare.
