Detailed description is Liga Deportiva Alajuelense ist ein Fußballverein aus der Stadt Alajuela, Provinz Alajuela, Costa Rica.
Alajuelense ist mit 29 Meistertiteln einer der erfolgreichsten Clubs des Landes.GeschichteLD Alajuense wurde am 18.
Juni 1919 gegründet.
1921 wurde der Klub einer der sieben Gründungsvereine der Primera División.
Nachdem dem Club in der ersten Spielzeit nur letzter wurde, gelang 1928 erstmals der Gewinn der costa-ricanischen Meisterschaft.Mittlerweile gewann die Mannschaft 28 nationale Meisterschaften und steht damit im engen Duell mit Deportivo Saprissa.
Die beiden Mannschaften dominieren seit 1993 praktisch die Meisterschaft.LD Alajuense hat aber auch auf internationalem Parkett auf sich aufmerksam gemacht.
