Detailed description is Considering the negativity that has recently surrounded our nation’s officers, sophomore Nursing student Jordan Troxell was inspired to recognize police officers for the difficult and dangerous job they do each day in order to keep all of us safe.
This inspiration, along with the admiration our students have for police officers and emergency responders locally and nationwide, led to the organization of the first annual Law Enforcement Appreciation Day held on campus on Nov.

Troxell, who organized the day, was overwhelmed with the turnout of the day, stating:.
“I am truly thankful for law enforcement and for their hard work, dedication, and sacrifice.
I will continue to work and do my best to provide our nation's law enforcement with the appreciation and gratitude they deserve.
Now more than ever, we must recognize that the growing rift between many communities and law enforcement impacts the safety of both the general public and our police officers.
At Saint Francis University, we aspire to encourage greater police involvement with students and community leaders to foster a better environment for citizens and police alike; one which rests upon mutual trust and respect for each other and our collaborative purposes in a functioning society.
Our hope is to foster greater social interaction thereby effectuating deeper understanding and social harmony.
It is imperative that we cultivate strong bonds between society and law enforcement if America is to grow and prosper.
For this reason, I was inspired to recognize police officers for the difficult and dangerous job they do each day in keeping all of us safe.
