Detailed description is Sonoma Mountain Grown Since 1968 Laurel Glen Vineyard, a top the tiny Sonoma Mountain AVA, was first planted to Cabernet Sauvignon in the 1960's.
We only grown Cabernet Sauvignon on our 14 acre vineyard and we only use the Laurel Glen clone of Cabernet Sauvignon.
Our proprietary clone is certified by the University of California at Davis.
Today, Laurel Glen Vineyard is under the stewardship of Bettina Sichel, who's team includes viticulturist Phil Coturri and winemaker Randall Watkins.
The estate produces five wines.
Two wines have been produced since the 1980's and can be found at better restaurants and wine shops: Laurel Glen Counterpoint Cabernet Sauvignon ($40) and Laurel Glen Vineyard Estate Cabernet Sauvignon ($75).
Three small lot wines are available only direct from the winery: Laurel Glen Lot 44 Cabernet Sauvignon ($125), Laurel Glen Crazy Old Vine Rosé ($30) and Laurel Glen Blanc Slate Sauvignon Blanc ($30.) Laurel Glen Vineyard is open for tasting daily, by appointment.
