From our humble beginnings in the garage of founder Michael Lombardi in 1919 to our official incorporation in 1927 and location on North Avenue, the Laurel Athletic Club has deep roots within the history of athletics in the City of Norwalk.
Frequently referred to under the nickname “the Laurels”, the members of the LAC became famous amongst the community as one of the most competitive and successful teams – from baseball and bocce to football and boxing, championship trophies were a common occurrence every season..
