was started in 1962 by Bob Poutre.
Poutre Plumbing & Heating was the name of the business until Bob retired in August 2002 and sold the business to his employee, Roy Lauby.
The name then changed to Poutre/Lauby Plumbing & Heating.
Roy had worked as a technician for Bob since 1998 and as the business continued to grow, Roy hired his son, Matt Lauby in 2004.
In 2005, the business purchased John Trauernicht Septic Tank Pumping business as Trauernicht retired.
In 2008, the company became a corporation and changed the name to Lauby Plumbing, Heating, & Air, Inc.
Roy and his employees continually attend conferences and training on new and current equipment and practices.
The company has a 30 year history installing Geothermal Heat Pumps, the longest in SE Nebraska.
The company also installs radiant in-floor heating systems and can inspect, pump and repair any septic system.
