I have been in the restaurant industry for the better part of 30 years.
Not counting my first job as a waitress in my best friend's, uncle's restaurant at the age of 14, which I believe is when the seed of my passion was planted.
Not to mention, we have generations of restaurateurs in the family! .
Some of you also know that I had a restaurant some years ago in the Cherry Creek District.
Since then, it has been my dream and vision to be a restaurant owner again.
I have always remained in the industry in some capacity or another and always will.
My sister is helping me make this dream and vision a reality!.
My sister, Carol Mitchell, recently retired after dedicating 33 long years to Kaiser Permanente.
She was fully committed and loyal to her employer.
I watched and worried as she commuted to and from Bennett, Colorado to 17th & Franklin downtown most of those 33 years, rain or shine, in some of the worst snow conditions, she faithfully trekked the route, faithfully.
I am so proud to say she is my sister.
She is loving and kind and would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need.
