I have been in the design industry for years and know a great many things.
I studied Art Direction and Design at IADT with several courses taken in digital media that covered video/audio editing and scriptwriting/storyboarding.
Since then I have had the opportunity to work for some great companies.
At Atomic Ideas Inc.
I was an intern and in charge of social media.
I was also given lead on several projects including Director of a few photoshoots for major clients.
I have also worked on commercials for TV and web and created in-store promotional materials.
I was also put in charge of new business acquisition.
This meant creating a campaign that would entice new clients to jump on board.
I created a direct mail piece in junction with a followup email and tied it all in to the social media platform.
The campaign "Rent a brain" was successful at bringing new clients in to meet with.
As a freelance artist I have also created many logos and related material.
Most notable is Huron Valley Health & Safety, a CPR training facility sponsored by The American Heart Association.
I have even done some other brands that would be considered risqué as well.
More recently I was designer and Head of email marketing at Signal Group LLC.
When I started there was one email campaign with some success.
Once I was given the reigns I introduced two new programs that would help to produce nearly half of the company's sales according to the VP of sales.
I found products, checked the competition, called vendors for availability and built every email for the two new programs.
This was a minimum of 14 emails a week on top any other duties.
Other duties include promotional banners for the online store, content and SEO driven pages.
I worked with google analytics and tracked adwords ads I created and determine which are effective and which can be tweaked or improved upon.
I also Launched a new brand Signal Marine for them creating all material for the launch and any materials needed for the following year.
As I was the only one there who knew about boats I was also tasked as sales, customer service, and tech support for this new site.
I also filmed, edited and even stared in several promotional and instructional videos.
I also regularly helped out the sales and customer service staff by answering calls regularly.
All of this was done in the 40 hours a week I was allowed.
Moral of the story is, no matter the pressure applied, I can manage and even excel at what I do.
