In the early 1900's this family of Italian immigrants landed in New Orleans and opened for business, serving the community by way of selling fresh produce at their local produce stand.
This was just the beginning of the Lama's relationship with the New Orleans community.

Within the first 10 years of citizenship, the Lama family took to the water and made a big splash in the seafood industry, harvesting fresh oysters from Lake Borgne by way of a sail-powered schooner.
