Nikki Harris teaches grades 5 and 6 general music, band, and choir at Hay School, Daly Middle School and Lakeview High School.
Ms.
Harris comes from the Detroit area of Michigan, and completed her Bachelor in Music Education at Eastern Michigan University in 2013.
After spending the 2013-14 school year working in residence life at an arts-intensive boarding high school in Northern Michigan, she took a leap of faith and moved to Lakeview (never having been west of Chicago) and fell in love with the warm and welcoming community in Lakeview.
Ms.
Harris is passionate about multicultural music, and has a special place in her heart for Interlochen Arts Camp, where she has spent the last seven summers working with middle school and high school campers.
