Ballet & contemporary dance school located in Lachine for all levels.
Située en bordure du Canal Lachine, L’Académie de Danse Classique fut fondée en 1980 par Renée Rouleau, sous le nom de L’Académie de Ballet Renée Rouleau.
Durant 20 années comme directrice et enseignante principale, elle a su fondée une école offrant un haut niveau d’entraînement autant pour les jeunes aspirants professionnels que pour les élèves de danse récréative.
Tout en ayant une attention spéciale aux besoins de chacun de ses élèves, elle se concentrait sur la technique, le placement, la qualité du mouvement et surtout l’amour de la danse.

En 1999, Linda Marchand, ancienne élève de l’académie, devient directrice artistique de l’académie.
Elle a intégré la danse moderne et le ballet jazz au curriculum de l’école puisque ce sont des outils essentiels aux danseurs professionnels d’aujourd’hui.

En 2015, Katia Lacelle, aussi ancienne élève de l’académie, devient directrice artistique de l’académie.
Passionnée par le mouvement, Katia a un grand désir de faire évoluer chacun de ses élèves et de leur partager ses connaissances acquises.

Les élèves de l’académie ont la chance de participer au spectacle de fin d’année et ont aussi la possibilité de faire des examens reconnus à l’échelle internationale.
Les étudiants de l’école ont participé avec succès au concours chorégraphique Cecchetti Québec où ils ont reçus des premières, deuxièmes et troisièmes places.
Au cours des années, plusieurs élèves de l’Académie furent accepté dans des programmes professionnels tel que l’école de Ballet National, l’école de Ballet d’Alberta, Quinte Ballet School of Canada, le Centre des Arts de Banff, L’École de Danse Contemporaine de Montréal (Ladmmi) et L’École Supérieure de Ballet du Québec.
Certains élèves ont atteint une carrière professionnelles auprès de compagnies prestigieuses telles que le Ballet National du Canada, Les Grands Ballet Canadiens de Montréal et le Ballet National de Berlin.
